(File photo) Hunting organisations continue to call for the “zero density” policy for tahr control in New Zealand national parks to stop, documents show. Documents released to Stuff under the Official Information Act show that in submissions to the Department of Conservation’s tahr control programme for the 2021-22 season, released last month, there was much debate among members of the Tahr Liaison Group. The group, which features a mix of conservation and hunting interests, met in December 2020 and March this year in order to progress the tahr control programme for the upcoming season, which begins next month. ....
