Northern Piedmont Community Foundation
For the second consecutive year, Give Local Piedmont raised more than $1.2 million for nonprofits in Fauquier and three other counties.
With 3,397 donors participating, the 24-hour online campaign concluded at midnight. In eight years, it has raised more than $7 million.
The Warrenton-based Northern Piedmont Community Foundation organizes the fundraising blitz, which this year has 197 participating nonprofits in Fauquier, Culpeper, Rappahannock and Madison counties. ....
