No one seems to have a clear answer yet, but incomplete data, including studies from Brown University, reports by JAMA Pediatrics, and most recently by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, suggest school infection rates are lower than community spread and that the benefits of in-person education outweigh the pandemic dangers. ....

But as of Monday, Jan. 18, the plaza will officially be called Essentia Health Plaza after the health care system bought the naming rights to the plaza from the city for $750,000. ....

David Samson / The Forum WEST FARGO The West Fargo Police department will be adding another police officer in 2021 after it received a grant from the state to help focus on at-risk youth. Police Chief Denis Otterness said the approximately $78,000 grant will help the department hire another officer next year. The position would be one that assists with the department s planned focus on reaching at-risk youth as a prevention method and will also likely work closely with the city s lone cultural liaison officer position. The cultural liaison officer helps educate new residents about the city s police force as well as educating the police department on the plethora of cultures that now make up West Fargo residents. ....
