Jail for leader of drugs line that sold £90k-worth of heroin and cocaine

A MEMBER of a drugs line that had taken over a room at the Jury’s Inn hotel was arrested when he came downstairs to pay for a takeaway food delivery.
Now, the prime mover in the Walker drugs line, which was estimated to have made £90,000 over 81 days in late 2017 and early 2018, has been jailed for almost six years.
Sending Bamir Cukaj to prison for five years and 10 months, Judge Jason Taylor QC said the dealing “left a trail of destruction in its wake”.
Swindon Crown Court heard that staff at the Jury’s Inn, in Swindon town centre, grew suspicious after the fresh-faced dealers paid for the room in cash in December 2017, and called police. ....

A DRUG dealer who helped sell almost a kilo of crack cocaine and heroin in Swindon has been warned to expect a lengthy period behind bars.
Bamir Cukaj, 23, yesterday admitted his part in the Walker drugs line.
Prosecutors say the line sold around 900g of class A drugs over 81 days between November 2017 and January 2018. If sold in 0.1g street deals, the drugs could have been worth up to £90,000.
Cukaj, of Falmouth Grove, Lawn, had been due to stand trial at Swindon Crown Court this week. But yesterday morning pleaded guilty to two counts of being concerned in the supply of class A drugs. ....
