CYPRESS, Texas - A shootout in a Cypress neighborhood at 8:00 on a Saturday morning leaves one person shot, three men arrested and it’s all because of a case of mistaken identity.
For years, Frederick Randle Jr. has been a private investigator at UMMC Investigations, the company he owns, arresting fugitives who jump bail but this time he was the one arrested and charged.
It is a nightmare, says Randle. Now the business owner who typically works with attorneys is finding himself in need of one. ....

A Black father was injured after a group of bounty hunters illegally entered his family’s Texas home while the man’s wife and young grandchildren were present.
The Harris County Sheriff’s Office said three bounty hunters are facing charges after they illegally entered a home in the Houston suburb of Cypress and engaged in a shootout with a resident after mistaking him for a fugitive listed on a bail warrant.
Resident Ricky Brannon told ABC13 that on Saturday, Jan. 16, three men in black tactical gear pulled up in front of his home and jumped out of a vehicle shouting with guns drawn. ....

Three Texas bounty hunters have been charged after they allegedly charged into a man’s house, with his wife, children and infant grandchildren inside, and began firing.
Police responded to multiple 911 calls in northwest Harris County early Saturday morning and found three men, Angel Galvan, Farukur Siddique and Frederick Randel, armed and wearing tactical gear, with a fourth man handcuffed on the ground outside his house.
The homeowner, Ricky Brannon, told police that the men had charged him as he left his house that morning to buy oil for his daughter’s car, at which point he ran back inside, Thomas Gilliland of the Harris County Sheriff’s Office told the Daily News. ....
