Breaking News | Akwashiki, Ex-Minister, PDP Chieftain, Others Drum Support For Governor Sule

Sen. Godiya Akwashiki (APC-Nasarawa North), on Saturday commended Gov. Abdullahi Sule for his developmental strides across the state. This feat, the senator noted has impacted positively on the lives of the people of the state. He made the commendation at a townhall meeting in Akwanga as part of activities of the governor’s “Meet-the-People-Tour” in Akwanga Local Government Area of the state.
Akwashiki, the Chairman, Senate Committee on Employment, Labour and Productivity, also drummed support for the governor beyond 2023.
“Gov. Abdullahi Sule has done his best, we need to give him maximum support to succeed beyond 2023,” he urged.

Insecurity: Food crisis looms as farmers abandon farms in Benue, Nasarawa

These farmers have continued to lament their inability to go to their farms, especially at the onset of the rainy season.
In Benue, most of the affected farmers in different local government areas of the state are worried about the situation, which they said might have repercussions on food production in the coming months.

FG empowerment programme: Be wary of fraudsters, Sen. Akwashiki advises Nigerians

Akwanga (Nasarawa State), April 5, 2021 The senator, representing Nasarawa North Senatorial District, Sen. Godiya Akwashiki, has urged Nigerians to be wary of fraudsters.
Akwashiki, while addressing newsmen in Akwanga Local Government Area of Nasarawa on Monday, alerted Nigerians that his name was being used to deceive some people by directing them to call a particular number and claim funds.
The lawmaker, who is the Chairman, Senate Committee on Employment, Labour and Productivity, said neither him nor his office had directed people to call anybody to claim funds under the Federal Government’s empowerment programme, saying it was the handiwork of fraudsters. ....
