Holyhead businesses make improvements after Covid-19 notices served

FOUR businesses in the Holyhead area are now fully complying with Coronavirus regulations after being served with premises improvement notices.
The Isle of Anglesey Council’s Public Protection team is monitoring business compliance with coronavirus regulations to ensure customer and staff safety.
Appropriate coronavirus measures are now in place after premises improvement notices were recently served at B&M, Holyhead Post Office, Andy’s Tyre Service Ltd and Stermat, in Valley.
Chief Public Protection Officer, Les Pursglove, explained, “Unfortunately, these premises had disregarded prior warnings which resulted in these improvement notices being served.”
“We have monitored them carefully in recent weeks and are pleased that they now have the appropriate Coronavirus measures in place.” ....

Dog owners on Anglesey reminded to clean up after their pets

As part of ongoing efforts to ensure Anglesey communities are safe and pleasant places to live, Isle of Anglesey County Council is urging all dog-owners to ensure that they clean-up after their pets.
Anglesey Council’s Public Protection team have recently received numerous complaints about individuals failing to clean up after their dogs.
A dog owner is committing an offence, under The Isle of Anglesey (Dogs Fouling of Land) Order 1997, if they fail to clean up dog foul.
Chief Public Protection Officer, Les Pursglove, said: “Whilst most people do their utmost to keep our streets clean, a minority of irresponsible dog owners cause problems in our towns and villages.” ....
