In a time of seemingly indefinite confusion, grief and unrest around the world, the smallest acts of kindness can inspire and replenish our faith in humanity. This was the sentiment I picked up when I spoke with 61-year-old Greg Davidson, a Galt community member for 30 years, kindhearted local volunteer, and now a recent “one man beautification crew” as he calls himself.
During the month of December, Davidson rolled in his wheelchair all around Galt in a fundraising effort to raise $500 for the Sunshine Food Pantry affiliated with his church here in town.
“Originally, I planned to match that $500 for a total $1,000 donation. My program really took off and, with the help of 36 sponsors, I raised $3,000 instead,” he said. ....
