Dr. John McAllister, of Little Rock, has always known that he wanted to work in a field concerning vision, even though he wasn’t always sure what that career would look like.
“I was always enamored with the eyes and vision,” McAllister said. “I was trying to figure out my path of what I wanted to do in life, and one day I thought I wanted to be an optometrist. That opportunity got away from me, and the next opportunity was in the field of blindness and vision impairment. When I got into the field, I loved it.” ....

HEC adopts virtual 2nd semester for universities

AMMAN The Higher Education Council (HEC) on Thursday decided to adopt remote education in the second academic semester with new arrangements, except for practical and applied courses that are identified by universities boards of trustees and students of clinical stages of medical specialisations.
The decision stipulates that remote education be interactive according to regulatory bases clarifying the rights and duties of faculty members, students and universities in terms of providing the infrastructure, computers for faculty members and Internet packages for students, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. ....
