Hoboken hit and run leads to DWI and Aggravated Assault arrests

Hoboken police charged two men on Thursday after one allegedly fled the scene of a motor vehicle accident. One was wanted in connection with an assault that occurred two days prior.
According to a press release from the HPD, on Dec. 17 at about 9:54 p.m. communications officers reported a hit and run in the area of Third St. and Willow Ave. to all police units.
The fleeing vehicle was described as a gold minivan seen traveling east on First St. from Willow Ave.
Moments later, Lieutenant Keith Rotondi reported seeing the vehicle traveling north on Washington St. from First St. with heavy front-end damage and no headlights on. ....
