OCEANSIDE (KUSI) – A coalition of more than 80 California chambers and local business organizations came together to push back against the state mandated policies and orders to close, demanding the right to remain open.
The coalition believes that Governor Newsom and his supporters have implemented policies that have been discriminatory against small businesses and have had a disproportionate impact on women owned and minority owned businesses specifically.
Scott Ashton, CEO of the Oceanside Chamber of Commerce, and Juan Velasco, owner of Oceanside’s Slight Edge Salon, joined KUSI’s Lauren Phinney on Good Morning San Diego to discuss their effort and detail what they wrote in the letter to Governor Newsom. ....
