While Boston University looks ahead to a school year with the return of in-person teaching and learning, the Digital Learning & Innovation Faculty Forum 2021 virtual symposium is taking a moment to pause and celebrate all that that faculty and staff have accomplished over the course of the pandemic with
from Anywhere (LfA), the hybrid format used throughout the 2020-2021 school year. The forum is today, Monday, May 10, from 1 to 4 pm. 
In years past, two annual in-person events the Center for Teaching & Learning Annual Education Innovation Conference and Educational Technology’s Teaching with Technology Festival showcased the forward-thinking ways BU faculty and staff were using technology in in-person instruction. One Year Later: Lessons from the Pandemic

On March 15, 2020, life as we knew it came to an abrupt halt. The commonwealth of Massachusetts had just issued stay-at-home orders, forcing BU to act swiftly. Dorms closed. Teaching and learning went remote. And all but essential personnel began what would be months and months of working from home. Fast forward a year, and we’re still learning to cope, adjust, and recalibrate. 
To commemorate the one-year anniversary, we reached out to students, faculty, and staff and asked them to talk about the biggest lessons they’ve learned over the past year. 
For some it was a renewed sense of the importance of family. For others, a realization that it’s okay to be selfish (in a good way). Others say the past year has taught them the value of taking chances. Take a look.  ....
