EDWARDSVILLE A Granite City man faces multiple drug and weapons charges.
Giovanni J. Conejo, 27, of Granite City, was charged April 6 with armed violence and unlawful cannabis trafficking, both Class X felonies; and unlawful possession of cannabis with intent to deliver and unlawful possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, both Class 1 felonies.
The case was presented by the Granite City Police Department.
According to court documents, on April 5, Conejo allegedly was found to be in possession of more than 2,500 grams of cannabis with the intent to deliver; more than one gram of cocaine with intent to deliver; and a Taurus PT3 9 mm handgun while committing the other felonies. ....

EDWARDSVILLE A Vandalia woman was charged Friday with methamphetamine trafficking was among a number of drug- and alcohol-related charges filed by the Madison County State’s Attorney’s Office.
Angel M. Mileur, 47, of Vandalia, was charged Feb. 26 with methamphetamine trafficking, an enhanced Class X felony, and unlawful possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine, a Class X felony.
The case was presented by the Metropolitan Enforcement Group of Southwestern Illinois.
According to court documents, on Feb. 25 Mileur allegedly was found to be in possession of between 15-100 grams of methamphetamine, that she had brought into the state with the intent to deliver. Bail was set at $200,000. ....

EDWARDSVILLE The Madison County State’s Attorney’s Office is seeking the forfeiture of almost $7,000 in three separate drug-related cases.
Three “Request for Preliminary Review to Determine Probably Cause for Forfeiture” were filed Thursday, Feb. 11. Two of the cases involved have resulted in felony charges being filed; charges are pending in the third.
The forfeitures stem from police investigations in the Troy and Granite City areas.
The largest amount sought is $4,775 stemming from a search warrant served by the Metropolitan Enforcement Group of Southwestern Illinois in the 500 block of Mockingbird Street, Troy, on Feb. 1. ....

The forfeiture claim was filed Feb. 4 against Rachael R. Pender, 42, of Shelbyville.
She and Alan J. Logsdon Jr, 48, also of Shelbyville, were charged Jan. 26 after a traffic stop by an Illinois State Police trooper revealed drugs and cash.
In the subsequent forfeiture filing, he is referred to as Alan J. Logson.
Both had been charged with unlawful possession of methamphetamine, a Class 3 felony, while Logsdon was charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance, a Class 4 felony.
The request noted that the money was found in “close proximity” to illegal drugs, a trained narcotics dog had detected the presence of drugs, both had a history of drug-related arrests and/or convictions, the two had made inconsistent statements, Pender has no visible means of support and admitted selling and/or possessing drugs. ....

EDWARDSVILLE A Wood River woman faces multiple drug and weapons charges, as departments around the county continue filing new cases accumulated throughout the year.
Helen R. Parker, 46, identified as homeless out of Wood River, was charged Jan. 29 with unlawful possession of methamphetamine, a Class 2 felony, as well as two counts of unlawful possession of a controlled substance, and aggravated unlawful use of a weapons, all Class 4 felonies.
The case was presented by the Madison County Sheriff’s Department.
According to court documents, on Jan. 28 Parker allegedly was found to be in possession of between five and 15 grams of methamphetamine, less than 15 grams each of hydrocodone and ecstasy, and an immediately-accessible stun gun in a vehicle. Bail was set at $30,000. ....
