NOC SL -Crysbro join to empower next Olympic hope

As part of its ongoing mission to empower and support the aspirations of young people in Sri Lanka, the country’s premier poultry producer Crysbro recently held a scholarship awarding ceremony to hand over scholarships to a select group of 20 gifted young athletes selected under the NOCSL-CRYSBRO Next Champ Initiative. The ceremony took place at the NOCSL Sri Lanka Headquarters with the presence of Suresh Subramaniam – President of the Sri Lanka Olympic Committee, Maxwell De Silva – Secretary General of NOCSL and Crysbro Senior Marketing Manager – Amores Sellar as chief guests.
The primary objective of this vital initiative is to identify and empower talented young athletes, and refine their potential to be winners in the international sporting arena. Crysbro praises Govt.'s initiative to uplift dairy and poultry sectors to bolster food security

Sri Lanka’s largest poultry company Crysbro announced its deep appreciation for the Government’s recent initiative to uplift and strengthen the local dairy, poultry and egg industries. This comes as a result of a meeting of the Presidential Task Force for Economic Revival lead by its Chairman Basil Rajapaksa, where many issues that challenge the large- and small-scale dairy and poultry industries were brought to light.
President Gotabaya Rajapaksa, who was also present at the discussion, highlighted numerous problems faced by the poultry and dairy industries, in particular the shortage of raw materials that are needed to maintain optimum production levels. This included discussion on the restrictions on the importation of maize, which is a major problem facing the poultry industry, and asked the Government to provide immediate assistance to reduce the cost of poultry and egg production. ....

Crysbro helps improve farming practices in Kantale

Crysbro, a major player in the country’s poultry industry recently spearheaded the development of a water irrigation system to strengthen and elevate farming practices in the Suriyapura and Helambayaya villages in the Kantale region, a company news release said.
Launched in association with the Department of Mahaweli Development and Environment and The Ministry of Irrigation, Crysbro’s latest initiative aims to alleviate rural poverty in these villages deeply affected by constant drought and the 30-year long civil war in Sri Lanka.
“The new irrigation system provides these two villages with a permanent source of water to nourish their farming practices all year long, allowing them to cultivate during both the Yala and Maha seasons; a previously unknown reality due to constant droughts,” the release said. ....
