Mon 12 Apr 2021
Early Aintree faller
Lake View Lad tops 31 remaining hopefuls for the Coral Scottish Grand National at Ayr.
Nick Alexander’s grey, who only made it as far as the first fence in Saturday’s Grand National, may be granted the opportunity to make amends in the Scottish equivalent eight days later.
Lake View Lad will carry top weight of 11st 12lb if taking part on Sunday, just above Harriet Graham’s hugely consistent top handicapper and new big-race favourite
Aye Right in a race which appears set to feature a strong home challenge.
You’d be Well and truly Nuts to miss this one
Nuts Well is fancied in the Marsh Chase on day two of Aintree s Grand National meeting.
COURSE winner
NUTS WELL looks a cracking bet in the Marsh Chase (3.25pm) on day two of Aintree’s Grand National meeting.
This 10-year-old might have reached the veteran stage of his career but he seems to be getting better with age.
He’s been in the form of his life this season. His Kelso defeat of Aye Right, who went on to chase home Grand National favourite Cloth Cap in the Ladbrokes Trophy, was a great start to the campaign.
