Ayodhya, April 28 : To cope with the rush at cremation grounds, the Mayor of Ayodhya, Rishikesh Upadhyay, is giving out free firewood to the rematoriums.
We are distributing firewood for free and creating a wood bank in Ayodhya so that the kin of the deceased do not have to pay for the last rites of their dear ones. According to belief, Ayodhya is the Mokshdayni , which means those cremated here go to heaven. But the cremation count has gone up manifold. After Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath directed that funerals of Covid victims would be free of cost, I am personally arranging firewood with the help of social organisations and creating a wood bank. The money spent is not from the coffers of the Ayodhya Municipal Corporation or any government agency, he said. ....

What plucked the scheme for IIM-I?
The work on Ram temple construction in the Uttar Pradesh city had tweaked IIM-Indore’s interest in taking up the plan.
The Ram Janmabhoomi – Babri Masjid case, prolonged for over six millennia culminated in a verdict on November 9, 2019.

Indore (Madhya Pradesh) [India], January 11 (ANI): Now a glimpse of Indore will also be seen in Ayodhya as Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Indore will decorate Ayodhya beginning with the upcoming Makar Sankranti. IIM Indore has signed a three-year Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Ayodhya Municipal Corporation for this purpose.
The cleanliness model of Indore will also be mainly adopted in the development plan of Ayodhya. ....

Lucknow, Jan 8 : The IIM-Indore and Municipal Corporation of Ayodhya (MCA) have entered into a three-year agreement to chalk out an action plan to replicate the cleanliness model of Indore, which topped Swachh Sarvekshan four years in a row, creating a culture of cleanliness among its citizens.
Ayodhya will embrace the Indore model to elevate itself to the standards of being a global spiritual tourism destination.
The business school will specifically help the MCA put in place a swachh enhancement mechanism and implement best cleanliness practices adopted by Indore Municipal Corporation. ....
