COVID-19: Blood clot victim s sister very angry but says everyone should have Oxford-AstraZeneca jab
Solicitor Neil Astles, 59, died on Sunday after getting the
Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine on 17 March, his sister Alison Astles, who is a pharmacist, said.
Dr Astles said she was told by clinicians at Royal Liverpool University Hospital they were 99.9% sure the clot was due to the vaccine.
She told Sky News she was in complete shock after her brother s death.

Covid: Blood clot victim's sister urges people to get AstraZeneca vaccine

Neil Astles, 59, a solicitor from Warrington, Cheshire, died on Sunday. He was vaccinated on 17 March.
Pharmacist Alison Astles told the BBC that doctors were 99.9% sure the clot was due to the jab.
But she said he was extraordinarily unlucky and the risk was very low .
Dr Astles said she felt she had a responsibility to speak out because, overall, we will save more lives by people having the vaccine than not .
The family is still awaiting a report from the coroner on Mr Astles cause of death.

Sister of man who died of blood clot after vaccine urges others to have the jab

A pharmacist whose brother died of a blood clot doctors said was probably caused by his Covid-19 vaccine says she “strongly believed” people should continue to have the jab.
Solicitor Neil Astles, 59, died on Sunday after getting the AstraZeneca vaccine on March 17, his sister, Alison, said.
Dr Astles urged people to continue getting vaccinated, saying her brother was “extraordinarily unlucky”.
Speaking to the BBC News channel, she said: “Despite what has happened to Neil and the impact on our family, I still strongly believe that people should go ahead and have the vaccine.
“If you’ve had one dose, go ahead and have your second. If you haven’t had your dose yet make sure that you do. ....
