Victorian health authorities have announced a seven-day lockdown for Victoria, this includes Ararat Rural City Council. New restrictions come into force at 11:59pm tonight (27 May).
There are now only five reasons to leave your home – shopping for essential food and supplies; essential work; medical care and caregiving; limited exercise; and to get vaccinated.
The past 18 months has not been an easy period for any of us. It’s been especially tough for businesses, the elderly and those that are isolated and socially vulnerable.
Just when it seemed like we were returning to our normal way of life, we find ourselves again in lockdown. We’ve shown before that we need to be vigilant about this deadly virus, and remember, that despite this challenge we are always stronger together. ....
