Former COVID ‘skeptic’ advises people ‘take precautions’ after he was hospitalized

A pretty healthy, high-ranking sheriff’s office official, who previously denounced the was risks associated with coronavirus, says he was hospitalized this week for the disease.
Greene County Sheriff’s Office Major Phil Corcoran was a “mouthy skeptic” about COVID-19 before it landed him at the hospital in Springfield, he told the Springfield News-Leader Thursday, from his home, where he’s recovering.
Now, the 49-year-old is advising those of a similar mindset to “take whatever precautions that the CDC, the medical people recommend.”
