Owen Sound’s Bill Booey says he’s already purchased a new vehicle with the $100,000 he won on an instant-win Bingo scratch ticket.
“It’s a beautiful machine with all the bells and whistles and I’ll enjoy every moment in it,” he’s quoted as saying in a news release from the Ontario Lottery & Gaming Corp.

This past weekend, Peel Region hosted Canada’s first overnight vaccination clinic. On Saturday night, hundreds drove to the International Centre minutes away from Toronto’s very quiet Pearson Airport to participate in what one person described as “a vaccine rave.” Music blasted from the speakers outside and inside. Television screens flashed live updates on how many doses had been administered. And each person left the clinic with some swag: a T-shirt that said “This is our shot,” Rocky Mountain chocolate, Tim Horton’s coffee or a goodie bag from the Peel Art Gallery, Museum and Archives. Over the course of 32 hours, there were guest appearances from Mississauga mayor Bonnie Crombie and Premier Doug Ford. Images of suspect released in south London robbery

MIDDLESEX CENTRE, ONT.
London police are asking for public help to identify a suspect wanted in connection with a robbery early Thursday morning.
Officers responded to the Hasty Market at 99 Belmont Dr., in the area of Wharncliffe and Southdale roads around 5:20 a.m.
Police say a woman went into the convenience store, pulled a knife and demanded cash, taking money from the register before fleeing on foot westbound.
No one was injured.
A police search of the area did not locate the suspect.
She is described as white, about five feet six inches tall and 180 pounds. She was wearing black shoes, black pants, a black hooded sweatshirt, dark blue toque and a red bandana covering her face. ....

Thornhill man strikes it rich a second time with Lotto Max

A Thornhill man has won big in the Lotto Max draw for the second time.
Back on Aug. 2, 2013, Vincent Charlemagne won a $30-million Lotto Max jackpot. Last month, the 58-year-old won $ 1 million in the MaxMillions draw plus $2 on Encore. The winning ticket was bought at Hasty Market on Hurontario St. in Mississauga.
