The President of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) H E Duarte Pacheco praised the comprehensive renaissance and the great development taking place in the State of Qatar under the wise leadership of the Amir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, stressing that the elections of the Shura Council in October represents a good and an important step for consolidating the democratic practice in the State of Qatar and the region as a whole.
