McCLELLANVILLE, S.C. (WCSC) - Awendaw firefighters say four homes in a McClellanville neighborhood have been cleared while crews respond to a gas leak.
Firefighters responded to a home on Simmons Road off Tibwin Road where a 50-gallon propane cylinder is leaking.
The gas company has been notified.
No injuries have been reported.

AWENDAW, S.C. (WCSC) - The Charleston County Coroner’s Office identified a 63-year-old man killed early Friday morning in a crash.
Bernard Krafsig, from Mount Pleasant, died from blunt-force injuries he suffered when the bicycle he was riding was struck by a vehicle, Charleston County Coroner Bobbi Jo O’Neal said.
The crash happened at approximately 5:51 a.m. at the scene of the crash at the intersection of Highway 17 and Wando Farms Road, she said. ....

AWENDAW, S.C. (WCSC) - A South Carolina Department of Natural Resources officer was praised Tuesday for rescuing a driver who had been involved in a crash Monday.
LCpl. Griffin Allison was the first responder to arrive on the scene of the crash involving a pickup truck and dump truck on Highway 17 near the U.S. Post Office in Awendaw, according to SCDNR spokesman David Lucas.
The driver of the pickup truck was trapped in vehicle when it started to catch on fire, Lucas said. ....

AWENDAW, S.C. (WCSC) - The Awendaw-McClellanville Consolidated Fire District said they responded to car crash that caught fire, but the passenger had already been rescued by a bystander.
Firefighters say they first responded to a crash on Highway 17 near the US Post Office in Awendaw just before 6:15 p.m. Monday.
When crews arrived, they say they found a pick up truck that had struck the back of a “hauler vehicle”, then caught fire. ....
