Oxfordshire Youth awarded £1,000 by Persimmon Homes

A LOCAL youth group that provides vital support and opportunities from young people, has just received a chas boost from one of the UK’s largest housebuilders.
Oxfordshire Youth has been awarded a £1,000 grant by Persimmon Homes Wessex through its successful Community Champions scheme that supports community groups and charities.
The youth group started over seventy years ago and currently helps 98 of Oxfordshire’s most vulnerably housed young people.
These includes those who are homeless, those who are refugees and asylum seekers, and those from difficult backgrounds .
Cathy Talbot, corporate fundraising manager, said: “We’re delighted to accept this generous donation from Persimmon Homes. ....

Oxfordshire Youth announced its partnership with Oxford City FC yesterday.
To celebrate the launch of the partnership, Oxfordshire Youth will be raffling off a signed shirt and season tickets with all funds going towards the group.
Andy Gate, head of fan engagement at Oxford City FC, said “We are delighted to partner with Oxfordshire Youth.
“As a community club, it’s so important that we keep supporting Oxfordshire and this partnership means we can have a bigger impact in our community.
“We’re looking forward to raising awareness about the amazing work Oxfordshire Youth does.
“There’s already a lot of exciting projects in the pipeline which we can’t wait to get started and we look forward to working together and making a real impact.” ....

Blenheim £50,000 bursary open for charities | thisisoxfordshire

Blenheim is inviting grant applications for its 2021 bursary scheme from local projects and charities that focus their work on bringing people together in the local community.
The £50,000 bursary is available to all charities based within a 20-mile radius and it encourages initiatives which are focussed in six main areas; wellbeing and outdoor activities, education, creation of green spaces, social prescribing in the community, collaborative communal projects and community infrastructure support.
Among the groups to receive funds in 2020, which ranged from £500 to £5,000, were FarmAbility, Oxfordshire Youth, Stonesfield Allotments, Sustainable Woodstock, Forrest Bathing and West Witney Primary School.
Applications for the 2021 Blenheim Bursary will close on May 14. Finalists will be contacted by June 18 and interviews for applications over £5,000 take place in the week commencing June 21. All bursaries to be confirmed by March 1. ....
