SFA Regents approve $13K to TxDOT for Nacogdoches sidewalk improvements
Members of Stephen F. Austin State University’s Board of Regents toured the university’s new Beef Center facility located at the Todd Agricultural Research Center. The new, 20,000 square-foot facility, equipped with an arena and classroom and office space, sits on the footprint of the previous facility destroyed by a fire in November 2018. The Heian Era: Golden Age of Japan's Imperial Court

th centuries AD, is considered to be the last division of Japan’s classical era. This period began with the establishment of a new imperial capital at Heian-kyo (modern-day Kyoto), and ended with the founding of the Kamakura shogunate in 1185 AD.
Several new Buddhist sects were introduced into and flourished in Japan in this period. Although the introduction of these sects helped to reduce the power of the old Buddhist institutions, it did not necessarily increase the power of the imperial family. In fact, for much of the Heian period, power was held by the Fujiwara regents. The Heian period is also known for its cultural achievements and is considered to be the zenith of Japanese imperial court and aristocratic culture. ....

JUNEAU The University of Alaska Board of Regents has extended the contract for its interim president.
The board last summer announced Pat Pitney would take over as interim president Aug. 1, and stay at least a year in the position and up to 18 months.
On Friday, the board announced a search for a permanent president would not begin until spring 2022 and that Pitney would remain as interim president until the permanent position is filled. The board, in making the announcement, cited in part funding uncertainties for the university system and a desire for stability. ....
