ANN ARBOR, Mich. – Beginning at 10 a.m. on Saturday, the Gallup Park canoe livery will open for the season.
Ann Arbor community members can reserve canoes, kayaks, kid kayaks, paddleboats and rafts for trips around Gallup Pond.
Currently, trips along the Huron River are unavailable due to COVID distancing and high water, says the Ann Arbor Parks & Recreation website.
The Gallup Park livery will be open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Mondays through Fridays and 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on weekends, weather permitting. ....

ANN ARBOR – The outdoor public pools at Fuller Park, Buhr Park and Veterans Memorial Park will be open this summer, the city of Ann Arbor announced in an email to its pool users on Tuesday.
The city opened Fuller Park pool last summer at a very limited capacity for lap swimming to ensure social distancing while the Buhr and Vets pools remained closed. ....

Lend your hand at several events in February in Ann Arbor’s natural areas.
The city of Ann Arbor Natural Area Preservation runs regular volunteer events to restore the city’s parks and natural areas while fostering a concern for the environment among residents.
Performed by both staff and volunteers, activities include ecological monitoring, animal inventories and stewardship projects. NAP continues to monitor guidance from city and other health officials. Events are subject to change if they should be deemed unsafe for the public. If such changes should occur, registrants will be notified and updates will be made to NAP’s website.
