Aaron and Janelle Goines (second row, far right) asked the Board of Selectmen to speed up the host community agreement negotiation process.
Following impassioned pleas to expedite the approval process from Aaron and Janelle Goines, who aspire to launch a cannabis business referred to as The Emerald Turtle, the Board of Selectmen voted to authorize the negotiation of a marijuana host community agreement.
With plans to operate out of a location at 10 Little Brook Rd., the Goines’ would cultivate marijuana, manufacture a variety of cannabis products and deliver those products directly to customers.

Sullivan's Travels: Natick begins planning for Memorial Day

Sullivan s Travels: Natick begins planning for Memorial Day
The calendar may read April, but Natick is already making plans for Memorial Day.
Like last year, there will be no “traditional” parade. Instead, there will be a car parade through town, with stops at the cemeteries and the Town Common.
There will also be a stop at the Indian Burial Ground on Pond Street, where the Sons of the American Revolution will conduct a re-internment ceremony for Alexander Quapish, a Praying Indian who fought during the Revolutionary War.
Also, the annual Transfer of Flags will be held virtually this year.
Details will be announced in the coming weeks. ....

As of March 9, interested voters should plan to attend Town Meetings on:
•  April 10 for a Special Town Meeting (and another Special Town Meeting within it) to vote on the proposed Hospitality District and a possible lease of Westfield, where the Wareham Tigers hope to establish fields. ....
