BELLEVUE, Wash., June 1, 2021 /PRNewswire/ As part of its mission to make the outdoors more inclusive and accessible to all communities, Eddie Bauer will give away 1,000 free campsites at Washington and Oregon State Parks for Global Sleep Under the Stars Night on Saturday, August 7, 2021. The Seattle-based brand will begin the giveaway on June 1 via its nonprofit partners and One Outside program leaders.

Out on a hike in Colorado, a large group of Black women were approached by Jefferson County sheriff’s deputies, with guns on their hips, asking “What’s going on here?” The most recent National Park Service survey found that 6% of visitors are Black, compared with 77% white.
