Audi A3 driver hit 105mph fleeing from police before crash which snapped telegraph pole
A BANNED Audi driver who smashed into a wall, snapped a telegraph pole and brought down power lines in a high-speed crash has been jailed.
Jacob Rushworth, 26, was uninsured and disqualified from driving, when police officers on mobile patrol in Salterhebble, Halifax, tried to stop his car after seeing him refuel his Audi A3 at a petrol station in the early hours of October 2, 2019.
Bradford Crown Court heard Rushworth, of Greenups Mill, Sowerby Bridge, made a deliberate decision to flee from police during a six-minute pursuit where he hit speeds of 105mph. ....

Auburn-Washburn Unified School District 437 students will tentatively return to some in-person learning to start the spring semester, the Auburn-Washburn Board of Education voted Monday evening.
In the unanimous vote, the board approved a district plan that would return elementary students for in-person learning starting Jan. 5, while middle and high school students would return to hybrid learning that same day. Third- through 12th-grade students have been in remote learning for the past few weeks after the board decided to move to the more restrictive learning environment in the wake of high levels of staff quarantines. ....
