The left-hander was unranked in the Top 150 Draft Prospects list coming into the amateur season but jumped to No. 51 on the Top 200 list released last week. A UConn commit who already features a 60-grade, high-spin curveball, Mozzicato consistently works in the 90s with his fastball after an offseason stint at Cressey Sports Performance brought the offering out of the upper 80s. Monday s gem included 19 strikeouts, bringing Mozzicato s season total to 101 over 42 innings. He s walked 15 and surrendered two runs one earned.
