People, not adhering to social distancing norms, at Sadar Bazar, amid coronavirus pandemic in New Delhi.
With Delhi witnessing another wave of Covid-19, the Delhi government has decided to take measures to flatten the curve. Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Monday chaired a high-level meer here wherein he directed officials to convert some government and private hospitals into dedicated Covid-19 facilities.
Terming the situation in Delhi very serious , Kejriwal asked the officials to request the Centre to increase the number of beds in its hospitals in the city. He said that number of beds in government and private hospitals must be at par with that in November last year, when the pandemic was at its peak.Â ....

India on Wednesday morning recorded it s highest ever single day COVID-19 case tally, clocking 1,15,736 new infections and more than 600 deaths. As the second wave of the pandemic paints an increasingly grim picture, various states have adopted precautionary measures including night curfews, closure of shops, demarcation of containment zones and more. At the same time, many Chief Ministers and experts have begun urging the Central government to expand the vaccination drive.
The Delhi government had on Tuesday announced a night curfew that will be in effect from 10 pm to 5 am, till the end of April. Medical facilities have also been expanded in the national capital, as cases increased from a couple hundred per day to over 5000 new cases on Tuesday. Another dry run for Covid vaccination roll-out in Delhi; AIIMS among sites

The districts include South Delhi, South East Delhi and North West Delhi and New Delhi, they said.
The first dry run for COVID-19 vaccination roll-out was held in Delhi on January 2 for which three sites were chosen across the national capital.
Delhi Health Minister Satyendar Jain had reviewed the exercise at a dispensary in Daryaganj, and said COVID-19 vaccine will be provided to people in the national capital for free once it arrives, and asserted that the city government has made all preparations for the vaccination drive.
The previous three sites were GTB Hospital Shahdara, Urban Primary Health Centre, Daryaganj, and Venkateshwar Hospital, Dwarka. ....
