Family gatherings over the Memorial Day weekend may be a bit safer than a year ago. The Wisconsin Department of Health Services, however, says families should still exercise caution despite signs of vaccination success. D-H-S Chief Medical Officer Dr. Ryan Westergaard says COVID-19 precautions should be in place for those who’ve not been vaccinated.
“So, our recommendation for people who are gathering over the holiday weekend is to maintain social distancing, wear a mask if you’re in a crowd,” Dr. Westergaard says, “And particularly this weekend if you gather outdoors it’s safer than gathering indoors.” ....
