ARLINGTON, VA Positivity rates for COVID-19 testing the Arlington Health District have been on the decline since January, when the county posted a 13.4 percent positivity rate on Jan. 2.
Virginia Department of Health reported Thursday that Arlington had the lowest positivity rate for COVID-19 testing since early October. VDH reported that a total of 266,819 COVID-19 tests have been taken in Arlington, with a 3.7 percent positivity rate. That matches the 3.7 percent recorded on Oct. 9 and is 0.1 percent higher than the 3.6 percent recorded on Oct. 7. ....

ARLINGTON, VA Arlington residents 16 and older are now able to book an appoint to receive a free COVID-19 vaccine at county health clinics.
“Arlington has hit a major milestone in its vaccination efforts by surpassing more than 100,000 doses administered through our public health clinics,” said Matt de Ferranti, chairman of the Arlington County Board, in a release on Tuesday. “ As we continue our work to efficiently vaccinate our residents and do so equitably, open scheduling helps remove barriers to making an appointment and ensures our community can quickly and conveniently access COVID-19 vaccines.” ....

ARLINGTON, VA About 250 volunteers fanned out across Arlington Saturday morning with the mission of getting more people registered for the COVID-19 vaccine. The effort was part of Arlington County s Complete Vaccination Committee (CVC) Day of Action, which convened in the parking lot of the Columbia Pike Library.
Pretty soon the vaccine is going to be available for everyone, so we re going to be able to make that offer, said CVC co-chair Nancy White. People should all get registered so that when their time comes they can be called and they can get the vaccine. ....
