Guwahati: The Personnel (Administration) Department of the Assam Government on Wednesday carried out another round of major reshuffle of IAS officers of the state. Among the 20 changes done, some have been given additional charges while some have been relieved of additional duties and some have been promoted.
Here is the list of 20 officers according to the notification:
1. Paban Kumar Borthakur, IAS (RR-1989), Additional Chief Secretary to the Govt. of Assam, Transformation & Development and Cultural Affairs Department is also posted as Additional Chief Secretary to the Govt. of Assam, Tourism Department as additional charge. ....

APTRANSCO bets on solar power to improve supply

VIJAYAWADA: The APTRANSCO is working on a project to improve power infrastructure in Rayalaseema and coastal regions so that excess solar power generated by AP Green Energy Corporation Ltd (APGECL) can be transmitted between the two regions. The move is expected to help increase the overall electricity supply reliability and quality levels, and provide economic benefits to the power sector and the state, as well.
The APTRANSCO will also set up the first gas insulated sub-station (GIS) in Andhra Pradesh at Tallayapallem which will provide reliable and high-quality power, and improve voltage levels in Krishna and Guntur districts. Such sub-stations also reduce maintenance cost. ....

Police to arraign businessman over alleged $490,000 fraud

Justice Sherifat Solebo of an Ikeja Special Offences Court has fixed March 4 for arraignment of a businessman, Oladapo Olagundoye, and his company Morobone Nig. Ltd. over alleged $490,000 fraud.
Newsmen reports that Special Fraud Unit (SFU) of the Nigeria Police Force had in August 2020 filed a two-count charge of conspiracy and obtaining under false pretences against the defendants.
However, the defendants did not appear in court for the case.
According to counsel to the SPU, Mr Chukwu Agwu, Olagundoye and his company fraudulently obtained $490,000 from Infrastructural Development and Energy Company Ltd. (INDECO) sometime in March 2018 on Lagos Island.
He said: “The defendants falsely represented that, in conjunction with Wyndham Hotel Group, an American Hotel Group, they had a joint hotel project contract. ....
