North Caddo Shooting Victim Named By Coroner
A man shot and killed on Interstate 49 near Gilliam in north Caddo Parish late Sunday, January 17, 2021, has been named by the Caddo Parish Coroner s office.
 Allen Wesley Jefferson of Shreveport, 41, was shot in the head around 2 p.m. He was transported to Ochsner LSU Health hospital where he succumbed to his wounds at 3:55 p.m.
The victim was in a car with family members headed north on I-49 near Gilliam when he got into an argument with his nephew, 21-year-old Traveion Fields. Fields pulled out a gun and shot his uncle in the back of the head. The news release says: ....
