Stamford Endowed Schoolsâ Sixth Form debating team secures place in East Midlands Regional Championship of the English-Speaking Union Schoolsâ Debating Mace Published: 12:00, 12 March 2021 A school debating team has become one of the top 12 in the country, following success at the East Midlands Regional Final of the English-Speaking Union Schoolsâ Debating Mace. The Stamford Endowed Schoolsâ Sixth Form debating team, comprising of Oliver Fraser, Harry Laventure and Kitty Henderson, participated in the first round of the competition in January against five schools, before taking part in the East Midlands Regional Championship via Zoom in late February. In the regional championship, the team debated the motion âThis House believes that national health decisions should be made by a panel of scientific experts rather than Government.â ....
