(ABC 6 News) Several businesses in Minnesota are facing liquor license suspensions according to the Department of Public Safety.
Three businesses located in Monticello, Albert Lea, and Clarks Grove were notified by the Minnesota Department of Public Safety Alcohol and Gambling Enforcement Division (DPS-AGED) that they face a 60-day suspension of their liquor licenses for ongoing violations of Executive Order 20-99 (EO-99) by selling alcohol for on-premises consumption.
DPS-AGED says they found Cornerstone Cafe in Monticello was open for business on Dec. 16. The Minnesota Attorney General’s Office sent a letter warning Cornerstone Cafe of the consequences of continuing to violate EO-99. The Minnesota Department of Public Safety Alcohol and Gambling Enforcement Division has notified three restaurants they could have their liquor licenses suspended for 60 days after they violated state COVID-19 restrictions on indoor dining.
Cornerstone Cafe, in Monticello; The Interchange, in Albert Lea; and The Pour House, in Clarks Grove, all face liquor license suspensions pending a hearing before an administrative judge, the DPS said in a statement Saturday. The establishments were all observed serving customers alcohol for indoors on-premises consumption, going against Gov. Tim Walz s executive order prohibiting indoor dining.
“We’re asking the small percentage of bars and restaurants that have opened for inside dining and drinking to stop and comply with the executive order,” Public Safety Commissioner John Harrington said in a statement. “Thousands of our neighbors have died from CO ....

St Paul (KROC AM News) - Two bars in southeast Minnesota are facing a suspension of their liquor licenses as the state continues to crack down on businesses that defy the current Covid-related shutdown order.
The Minnesota Department of Public has notified three more establishments that they face a 60-day suspension of their liquor licenses for ongoing violations by selling alcohol for on-premises consumption.

ST. PAUL, Minn. – Two Freeborn County businesses are facing 60-day suspensions of their liquor licenses for violating Governor Walz’ COVID safety rules.
The Minnesota Department of Public Safety Alcohol and Gambling Enforcement Division (DPS-AGED) has notified The Interchange in Albert Lea and The Pour House in Clarks Grove that state agents observed both establishments violating Executive Order 20-99 which temporarily banned selling food and alcohol for onsite consumption.
DPS-AGED says The Interchange failed to comply with a Cease and Desist Order issued by the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) on December 16. State agents say they observed the establishment remained open for on-premises consumption of food and alcohol on December 18. ....
