Grosse Pointe Park resident Charlotte Van Arragon was named as a semifinalist in the middle school level of the Hammerstein International Youth Vocal Solo Competition. The Pierce Middle School eighth grader performed “Make Believe” from the Hammerstein and Jerome Kern musical “Show Boat.”

Doylestown, PA The Oscar Hammerstein Museum and Theatre Education Center (OHMTEC) received some fantastic news this week. This local nonprofit was awarded $500,000 in Pennsylvania state funding through the Redevelopment Assistance Capitol Program (RACP). RACP is a commonwealth grant program administered by the Office of the Budget for the acquisition and construction of regional economic, cultural, civic, recreational, and historical improvement projects.

Bucks County projects to share $7.5M in state redevelopment grants


A new, five-level parking garage in New Hope is one of several projects included in some $7.5-million in state grants awarded Tuesday to wide-ranging economic redevelopment projects throughout Bucks County.
The 350-car garage will receive about $1.75 million in grant funding and is expected to help make the historic borough more accessible to visitors, a news release from state Sen. Steve Santarsiero states.
Parking has long been considered a challenge in the riverfront borough that include shops, restaurants and the Bucks County Playhouse. New Hope s redevelopment strategy relies heavily on bringing visitors from around Bucks and throughout the East Coast to its business and entertainment district. ....

BUCKS COUNTY, PA Several big-ticket projects in Bucks County municipalities have been awarded state grant funding from Pennsylvania.
The $7.5 million in funding comes from the state s Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program (RACP), which supports economic, cultural, civic, recreational and historical improvement projects in the commonwealth.
Doylestown Hospital will receive $1 million for a new Women s Diagnostic Center, which will specialize in breast imaging and other medical imaging services. The project will relocate and expand its current diagnostic facility.
