“#PUNK nora chipaumire,” a solo show by Ari Marcopoulos at Galerie Frank Elbaz, is on the surface a straightforward and engaging video documenting a New York performance by a Black Zimbabwean choreographer. But underneath, it raises questions about gaze, globalism, race and religion.

New York group Pretty Sick like to turn the distortion up to the max for their grungey brand of rock, calling to mind both the early 90s and 2000s; boom periods for guitar bands with whom they share a love of melody and dirt. Today the band, fronted by Sabrina Fuentes, shares new song Devil In Me ahead of the June 17 release of new EP
Comedown via Dirty Hit Records.
