Two New Hampshire not-for-profits were among 15 organizations honored for local volunteering efforts in a virtual celebration that included Patriots CEO Robert Kraft.
NASHUA, NH Two New Hampshire not-for-profit organizations were the recipients of $5,000 grants after being recognized as volunteering difference-makers by the New England Patriots Foundation in a virtual celebration that took place this week.
Robert Skirvin-Orr of the Team Walk For Cancer Care which is run through Lowell Hospital in Nashua and Isabel Povey from Seeds of Hope in Hampstead were among 15 grant recipients from around New England that were recognized by the Patriots Foundation and the Kraft family on Wednesday. ....

Cape Cod Community College scores $100,000 from New England Patriots toward 4Cs' STEM building

The New England Patriots Foundation, led by the team’s owner Robert Kraft, have donated $100,000 to Cape Cod Community College’s Educational Foundation in support of the ongoing capital campaign for the College’s new Science and Engineering Center.
Last year, the College’s Educational Foundation applied for a grant from the Patriots Foundation to help close the cost gap for the Frank and Maureen Wilkens Science and Engineering Center, currently under construction on the West Barnstable campus. Trish Kennedy, co-chair of the “The Future is Now” Capital Campaign and COO and co-founder of longtime Patriots’ sponsor ZUDY, made the connection with Mr. Kraft to put the project on their radar. ....

The New England Patriots Foundation, led by the team’s owner Robert Kraft, have donated $100,000 to Cape Cod Community College’s Educational Foundation in support of the ongoing capital campaign for the College’s new Science and Engineering Center.

The Josh Kraft Way: Street to Be Named in Honor of JGBC Founder – Chelsea Record

The Chelsea City Council voted unanimously to name a street in honor of former Jordan Boys and Girls Club Executive Director Josh Kraft.
Councilor-at-Large Leo Robinson sponsored the motion that will name an area between Maverick Street and Congress Avenue adjacent to the club, “Josh Kraft Way.”
“Josh Kraft came to Chelsea and helped affect Chelsea youths in a positive, uplifting manner,” said Robinson. “He was able to deliver a state-of-the-art Boys and Girls Club facility to Chelsea that has benefited our youth in so many ways. His leadership of the club was exceptional. The naming of this street is a fitting honor for a someone who was outstanding leader in our community for many years.” ....

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (Jan. 8, 2021) – Ten years ago, the Kraft family and the New England Patriots Foundation introduced a season-long theme called Celebrate Volunteerism. The main focus of the initiative was to recognize community volunteers and to promote the importance of volunteering. Since its inception, New England Patriots players, coaches, alumni, cheerleaders and fans have donated hundreds of thousands of hours to giving back to their New England communities.
Throughout the 2020 season, the foundation will continue its Celebrate Volunteerism initiative by teaming with nonprofit organizations to educate fans about the need for volunteering, highlighting deserving volunteers from across the region and seeking to inspire Patriots fans to become lifelong volunteers. The foundation will present a weekly Patriots Difference Maker of the Week award, which recognizes deserving volunteers who go above and beyond to support their New England communities. ....
