Paul Cosford
Sir Paul Cosford, who has died aged 57, served as medical director and director for health protection of Public Health England (PHE) from its establishment in 2012 to 2019, when he stepped down after being diagnosed with terminal lung cancer.
He advised the Government and led PHE’s health protection and emergency response to the 2014 Ebola outbreak in West Africa and the 2018 Salisbury poisonings. In an emeritus role during the early stages of the coronavirus pandemic, he became a familiar voice on the airwaves until he was advised to shield while transmission in Britain was high. ....

Biography
Kate Lampard CBE is the chair of GambleAware and works as an independent consultant undertaking investigations and advising organisations on management and service effectiveness and development.
She led the NHS investigations into Jimmy Savile and produced a report for the Secretary of State for Health setting out the lessons for today’s health service.
She was commissioned by the board of Serco Plc to investigate the treatment of residents at Yarl’s Wood Immigration Removal Centre and by G4S Plc to undertake an independent investigation into Brook House immigration removal centre. In 2019 to 2020 Kate led a review and produced a report for the Home Office on the Borders, Immigration and Citizenship System. ....
