Chloe Sees ’20, a secondary education alumna, has been elected as the University’s first-ever Young Alumni Trustee. Chloe Sees ’20 is taking on a role that not many recent graduates can say they’ve had. At the age of 22, she’s becoming a Delaware Valley University Trustee. Sees was recently elected by the Board to serve as the University’s first-ever Young Alumni Trustee, following an intensive search process that started with a campus-wide call for nominations and culminated in candidates meeting with the Board’s Committee on Trusteeship. ....

Hudson Reporter Two Hudson County Community College Students Awarded Prestigious Jack Kent Cooke Scholarships HCCC students awarded scholarship for third consecutive year × Hudson County Community College (HCCC) students Adoum Allamine and Pedro Moranchel have been chosen from 1,500 applicants nationwide to receive the 2021 Jack Kent Cooke Foundation Undergraduate Transfer Scholarship. The Jack Kent Cooke Foundation recognizes exceptionally talented community college students seeking to complete baccalaureate degrees. Scholarship recipients are selected for their academic ability and achievement, financial need, leadership, persistence, and service. Only 72 students in the United States have been selected as recipients this year. This is the third consecutive year in which HCCC students have been named Cooke Scholars; Sarra Hayoune was a 2019 recipient, and Abdellah Amrhar received the scholarship in 2020. ....

Pepperdine’s political clubs are known for gaining traction each presidential election, only to fade slowly to inactivity in the following months, lying dormant until students revive the clubs a few years later usually in congruence with another election. Though this cycle has been prevalent in Pepperdine’s history, the presidents of Pepperdine College Republicans, Pepperdine College Democrats and Young Americans for Liberty are determined to ensure their groups are permanent fixtures in the Pepperdine community. “There shouldn’t be any time at Pepperdine where conservative students feel like there isn’t a community for them, where they aren’t able to voice their opinions, where they aren’t able to organize,” Pepperdine College Republicans President Spencer Lindquist said. ....
