State did not back out on land deal with Tuscola County

TUSCOLA COUNTY Part of the last Tuscola County Commissioners meeting was spent setting the record straight on what is going on with the land the state promised the county.
At an earlier meeting, Commissioner Kim Vaughn was under the impression the state land bank had “reneged” on giving land along the Cass River the county, and reported that to those in attendance.
However, that was not the case, as Jim Tischler with the state land bank authority pointed out. ....
