Barbara Glass, IND Airport Authority leader, breaks barrier in aviation

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) Barbara Glass is shattering glass ceilings for women in the aviation industry.
She is the president of the Indianapolis Airport Authority and the first woman to be in the position. She says her goal is to have policy that’s positive for all air travelers.
“I’m sure that’s half women, so I think we just have a more balanced look at the whole industry there,” Glass said.
Glass says she is proud to have been the first woman appointed to the position. “It makes me proud and I’m sure I’m not the last one and I think sometimes aviation used to be pretty male dominated and I think that’s changing and so I’m proud of that fact.” ....

Alcohol home delivery service comes to South Bend area

As delivery options have expanded beyond pizza and Chinese food, alcohol has become the new product South Bend area residents can get brought right to their front door.
Earlier this month, area liquor store chain Blarney Stone Wine and Spirits began partnering with e-commerce company, Drizly, to allow customers to order beer, wine and liquor to be delivered by store employees to their door within an hour of purchase.
Customers are able to use the Drizly app, shop the Blarney Stoneâs inventory electronically and purchase their product directly through the e-commerce site. The app will prompt customers to verify their legal age by scanning the barcode on the back of their state driverâs license and a delivery driver will be on their way. The driver then delivers the product, but must prove the receiver is 21 or older and must, once again, scan the driverâs license for verification. ....

INDIANAPOLIS – Gov. Eric J. Holcomb today announced that he has selected David Cook to serve as the Indiana Inspector General.
“David Cook brings decades of public service experience to the position of Inspector General,” Gov. Holcomb said. “I am grateful that David has agreed to serve Indiana in this position, and I am confident that he is the right man for the job of ensuring Hoosiers get the great government service they deserve.”
Cook currently serves as the chairman of the Indiana Alcohol and Tobacco Commission. He was appointed by then-Gov. Pence in 2015 and reappointed by Gov. Holcomb in 2017. The Commission is responsible for regulating and licensing the alcohol and tobacco industries. The ATC also directs the Indiana State Excise Police. ....
