Xcitement” and the three-row, seven-seat, SUV-flavoured people carrier appears to preview the next-generation Honda BR-V.
The N7X sports a cleaner and more conventional look than today’s BR-V, which we first saw six years ago. In front, a straight bonnet meets a bluff nose. The face appears to be inspired by the latest Odyssey facelift, and there are plenty of LED lights.
The N7X’s profile is clean and it deletes the BR-V’s fussy lines and trademark window kink – just one crisp line from headlamp to taillamp here. The rear end also follows the clean and simple theme, and the BR-V’s red bridge connecting the tail lamps – which feature City-style LED signatures now – are gone. We’ve been waiting for this moment for some time – it was unveiled in prototype form at the 2015 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) in Jakarta earlier this year (we’ve even driven it in Japan last month) and now it’s finally here in production form. That’s right, we are talking about the hotly-anticipated Honda BR-V, which made its world debut at the ongoing 2015 Thai Motor Expo.
The new five- or seven-seater ‘Active Sport Crossover’ measures 4,455 mm long, 1,735 mm wide and 1,650 mm tall, with a wheelbase of 2,660 mm. That’s 161 mm longer, 35 mm narrower and 45 mm taller than the five-seater-only HR-V, with a wheelbase some 50 mm longer. Ground clearance is quoted at over 200 mm. ....

JAKARTA (Reuters) - Indonesia has expanded its tax breaks on car sales to include more types of vehicles, the country s finance ministry said, in a bid to accelerate economic recovery and aid its manufacturing industry.
The government sees that stimulus for the middle class has big potential to boost consumption, the ministry said in a statement late on Thursday.
It said the so-called upper middle class had so far held back from big purchases during the pandemic and preferred to increase their savings. ....
