Production Honda BR-V unveiled at 2015 Thai Motor Expo

2 December 2015 10:55 am / 41 comments
We’ve been waiting for this moment for some time – it was unveiled in prototype form at the 2015 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) in Jakarta earlier this year (we’ve even driven it in Japan last month) and now it’s finally here in production form. That’s right, we are talking about the hotly-anticipated Honda BR-V, which made its world debut at the ongoing 2015 Thai Motor Expo.
The new five- or seven-seater ‘Active Sport Crossover’ measures 4,455 mm long, 1,735 mm wide and 1,650 mm tall, with a wheelbase of 2,660 mm. That’s 161 mm longer, 35 mm narrower and 45 mm taller than the five-seater-only HR-V, with a wheelbase some 50 mm longer. Ground clearance is quoted at over 200 mm.

2021 Honda Jazz makes ASEAN debut in Singapore

Despite the recent debut of the City hatchback, the country still gets the Jazz given its popularity among buyers. Singapore-spec models can opt for three variants, namely, the Base, Home, and Luxe Hybrid.
All variants get funky yet modern looks. While both the entry-level and mid-tier variants look identical on the outside, the range-topping trim gets the addition of silver garnish trims, specifically on the grille, on each side mirror, and a single strip that runs through its doors. Apart from that, the Luxe Hybrid also gets a different set of alloys in comparison with the 16-inch rims installed on the Base and Home variants. The Honda Jazz also comes with an all-LED lighting system, which was applied on its projector headlights, daytime running lights, fog lights, and taillights.

Despite the existence of the new ASEAN-specific Honda City Hatchback, the more expensive and sophisticated Jazz remains popular in Singapore. So much so that the island nation has bucked the regional trend by getting the latest fourth-generation model, which was launched there last week.
As with a lot of Japanese models down south, the Jazz comes fully imported from Japan, with prices starting from S$98,999 (RM300,700) for the 1.5 Base. The mid-range 1.5 Home retails at S$101,999 (RM309,800), while the hybrid-powered 1.5 e:HEV Luxe tops out at S$103,999 (RM315,900). Prices include a S$3,000 (RM9,000) early bird rebate and a complimentary upgrade to a guaranteed Certificate of Entitlement (COE).

KPDNHEP receives 16 Honda Civic 1.8 S fleet vehicles

KPDNHEP receives 16 Honda Civic 1.8 S fleet vehicles
24 December 2020 4:37 pm / 19 comments
The ministry of domestic trade and consumer affairs (KPDNHEP) has taken delivery of 16 units of the Honda Civic 1.8 S for use as fleet vehicles. The handing over ceremony took place at the ministry’s headquarters in Putrajaya.
It’s the first time the ministry is officially utilising Honda vehicles. “On behalf of Honda Malaysia, we are honoured that the ministry of domestic trade and consumer affairs has chosen the Civic as its preferred car in accomplishing its tasks and duties,” said Honda Malaysia MD and CEO Toichi Ishiyama.
“We are also appreciative of the ministry’s crucial role in promoting and sustaining domestic trade in Malaysia, which is important as we are still facing challenges to boost the Malaysian economy which has been greatly affected by the Covid-19 pandemic,” he added.
