Virus deaths in Marinette, Iron counties | News, Sports, Jobs

Both Michigan’s Iron County and Marinette County in Wisconsin recorded new coronavirus-related deaths Tuesday, according to health officials.
For Iron County, it’s the 10th new fatal case since mid-January.
The Dickinson-Iron District Health Department on Tuesday showed only two new confirmed COVID-19 positives in each county. Both counties each had one recovered case as well.
The DIDHD on Tuesday had Dickinson County at 2,102 confirmed positives and 238 probable cases, with 2,136 recovered, 67 deaths and 137 cases still active. For Iron County, the DIDHD had 856 confirmed cases and 64 probables, with 791 recovered, 44 deaths and 85 still active.
Across the Upper Peninsula, the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services’ COVID-19 data site Tuesday showed 12 new confirmed virus positives: four in Chippewa County, three in Houghton County, two in Dickinson and Iron counties, and one each in Menominee and Schoolcraft counties; the state red ....

WBB Weekly Readies For Restart

So, it's been a minute. Michigan's first two scheduled Big Ten games were postponed because of COVID-19 concerns in the program, meaning they haven't played in a game setting since December 9th against Butler. The Wolverines are set to retake the court tomorrow afternoon at home against Wisconsin, which is off to an 0-2 start in conference play, before a marquee matchup at Northwestern on Sunday.
The Standings
The table is a bit rougher on the women's side because, unlike with Big Ten men's basketball, there have been a number of cancelations/postponements. By my count, four of the 16 scheduled conference matchups have been postponed (every game involving Michigan or Ohio State, both of which had outbreaks) and an additional 12 non-conference games involving Big Ten teams have been postponed or outright canceled.
