Anonymous donor's £750,000 gift to NHS Fife charity supporting patients and staff

NHS Fife chairperson, Tricia Marwick, has described the donation as an extraordinary act of kindness .
An anonymous benefactor has donated £750,000 to support patients and health service staff in Fife during the pandemic.
It follow a previous gift of £500,000 from the same source, who said they were so impressed with how their initial contribution was used that they wanted to top it up.
Tricia Marwick, the charity’s chairwoman, said it was “a quite extraordinary act of kindness”, adding that staff had been “genuinely blown away by the generosity shown yet again”.
She said: “The earlier donation of £500,000 has funded a wide range of initiatives and has been invaluable in helping us provide some of the home comforts that have made patients’ stay in hospital more bearable whilst visiting restrictions have been in place.” ....

Covid Scotland: £250,000 anonymous donation to Fife Health Charity

The donors previously donated £500,000 and were pleased with the ingenuity with which it was used.
The chair of the Charity’s Board of Trustees, Tricia Marwick, said: “This is a quite extraordinary act of kindness and we are genuinely blown away by the generosity shown yet again.
“The earlier donation of £500,000 has funded a wide range of initiatives and has been invaluable in helping us provide some of the home comforts that have made patients’ stay in hospital more bearable whilst visiting restrictions have been in place.”
Some projects of the projects which it funded included the purchase of more than 100 tablets to ensure patients can video call loved ones amidst visiting restrictions; the construction of an outdoor gym for staff and patients at Lynebank Hospital in Dunfermline; and the purchase of portable translation devices for patients who aren’t fluent in English. ....

Anonymous donors contribute further £250,000 to Fife Health Charity

Local donors who previously donated £500,000 to help patients and healthcare staff in Fife during the coronavirus pandemic have made a further donation.
An additional £250,000 has now been given to Fife Health Charity by anonymous benefactors who are pleased with how their initial contribution has been used to support patients and hard working healthcare staff.
The previous donation has been used to fund a range of initiatives such as the purchase of more than 100 tablet computers to allow patients to video call their loved ones while visiting restrictions have stayed in place.
An outdoor gym for patients and staff has been built at Lynebank Hospital in Dunfermline. ....
