Thanet District Council is seeking a design team to rethink the future of Margate’s Westbrook Bay loggia [Deadline: 8 March 2021]
The team selected for the estimated £30,000 contract will complete a feasibility study exploring redevelopment options for the prominent landmark which was constructed in the early 1900s and is now in a poor state of repair and mostly vacant.

The project will transform the historic waterfront structure – which holds dramatic views over the former resort town and is located just a short distance from Margate train station – into a new food, retail or mixed-use venue featuring small scale self-catering accommodation and public toilets. ....
