Disneyland is offering a $100 sandwich – but why is it so expensive?

revealed at one of the restaurants on site has raised some eyebrows. Pym Test Kitchen (named after scientist Hank Pym from the
Ant-Man series) is offering a $100 sandwich, the priciest item on the menu.
Under entrees, there is a Quantum-sized Pym-ini Sandwich. It consists of salami, rosemary ham, provolone and sun-dried tomato spread on toasted focaccia and served with marinara dipping sauce and arugula salad.
But why is it so expensive?
As listed in the menu, the sandwich is not simply
named in reference to the film but
it is actually very large.

Avengers...ASSEMBLE! Disney Parks Food Blog just released the complete food guide to all of the new food coming to Avengers Campus on June 4th. Avengers Campus will open at California Adventure and will feature three new eateries including a sit-down restaurant and two food carts. Over at Pym's Test Kitchen, Ant-Man and The Wasp fans will be able to order foods that are either ginormous or shrink as it enters the quantum tunnel in the kitchen laboratory. You can order things like the Atomic Fusion Pretzel, which is made buffalo-style and loaded with chicken, hot sauce, ranch dressing, blue cheese crumbles, celery and dill-pickled carrots. You can also get the Not So Little Chicken Sandwich, which boasts fried chicken, teriyaki and red chili sauces on a brioche bun. Pym's Test Kitchen will serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner including Impossible food items like the Impossible Spoonful, which contains both rigatoni and ditalini pastas, plant-based meatballs, tomato sauce, dairy-free parmesan, and micro basil. A vegetarian option is the Caesar Salad + Colossal Crouton. There's also plenty of options for the kids like the Teeny Pym-ini, which is a toasted ham and provolone sandwich with marinara dipping sauce.
