Vail Symposium presents program on Russian efforts to amplify disinformation and undermine democracy on Thursday

Peter Pomerantsev, a senior fellow at the SNF Agora Institute at Johns Hopkins University, was born in the Soviet Union and immigrated to the west as a child. He has studied propaganda, misinformation as well as manipulation and addresses these efforts in his latest book, “This Is Not Propaganda: Adventures in the War Against Reality.”
Svet Derderyan, Ph.D., is a professor of Instruction in Political Science at University of Colorado Boulder and an adjunct assistant professor at University of Denver. He grew up in Sofia, Bulgaria, and moved to the U.S. as a teenager for college.
